Big Print (in collaboration with german label Graumann Records) is proud to release Allroh's first full length CD Hag Dec.

Hag Dec is composed and performed entirely by Allroh (Anne Rolfs). Anne is a very special one woman band – She plays electric and acoustic guitars and sings in her own truly unique style and also plays the sitar on the record. The album was recorded without using any effects or overdubs. Twelve of the songs on Hag Dec were recorded and mixed by Steve Albini in Chicago, with the album's other two songs being recorded at Church L'Eglise St Louis in France.

Anne studied classical and jazz guitar in Rostock in the old GDR, where she was born. Following the reunification of Germany she moved to Berlin where she founded the trio, Wuhling. This band was discovered and signed by the Touch & Go label and were the first European band to be signed by T&G. The second Wuhling album Extra 6 was recorded by Steve Albini and released in the USA in 1997. Soon after this release the band broke up.

In the ten years following the split Allroh continued to work on her guitar playing and singing technique, studied to play the sitar and wrote the songs which make up Hag Dec. This time was well spent as she has developed a totally individual musical mode, has compiled a catalogue of astounding songs and invented completely new ways of playing the electric and acoustic guitar (check the songs "KEIN CM" and "MET ALL").

Allroh toured Europe in 2008 supporting Albini's band Shellac and toured again in '09 with Talibam! This year she will be playing more of her sensational live shows in mainland Europe and will also undertake her debut dates in the UK.
