DOUGAL REED

Most cover albums are very unimaginative and feature different songs by different artists played in different styles. Dougal Reed saw beyond that cliché and instead decided to reproduce an entire album.

A long, long time ago when Dougal was a mere 34 years of age he was confronted by a bit of a problem. Stuck out in the wilds of Staffordshire and with his original copy of Fleetwood Macs Rumours now completely worn out from its continual rotation on the Reed family gramophone player he had to make the choice of either walking 10 miles to his nearest record shop or re-record the thing himself. And this set him a thinking.

Dougal thought, these originals are OK, but how would it sound if it was played on proper instruments, using modern recording techniques. What if the vocals were sung into metal microphones and not by girls but by Dougal himself. He had to find out and now, thanks to the naivety and poor business practice of the Kitty Kitty Corp, you can too.
